Pienza and Montepulciano Tour
This tour takes you into one of the most beautiful areas of Tuscany, the famous Val d’Orcia, located about two hours from Florence, but well worth the journey.
Here you will visit two stunning towns, both offering incredible views and unique attractions.
Pienza, famous for the production of pecorino cheese, is historically important as an ideal Renaissance town, redesigned under the rule of Pope Pius II in the 15th century.

Enjoy breathtaking views of Monte Amiata from Pienza, and take time to explore the narrow streets and scenic viewpoints of this remarkable town.
In both towns you will find a wide selection of trattorias and restaurants, where you can sample the local cuisine.
The next stop is equally impressive: Montepulciano, one of Tuscany’s highest hilltop towns, famous worldwide for its prestigious wine, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. The town has also featured in well-known films such as Under the Tuscan Sun and New Moon.
Montepulciano is unique in that, within the town centre, you can visit wine cellars built into ancient Etruscan caves, still used today for ageing this exceptional wine.
This wine dates back to a time when it was reserved exclusively for the noble families of Italy.
After a day immersed in one of Italy’s most treasured landscapes, enjoy the scenic drive back to Florence.
